Student Housing, Copenhagen
This 1,100 m² student housing building is conceived as a compact yet generous urban infill that balances individuality and community while strengthening the continuity of the surrounding streetscape. The project is currently under development.
The architectural expression follows the existing street character of solid brick façades with punched window openings, allowing the building to integrate naturally into the urban fabric while maintaining a calm and timeless architectural language. The façade rhythm reflects the internal organization of the residences and is articulated with vertical openings and subtle brick detailing. French balconies add lightness and depth to the façade while allowing generous daylight and ventilation to the student rooms without altering the disciplined street façade.
At ground floor, the building hosts shared facilities designed to foster community among residents. A social living room and a dedicated study room provide spaces for informal gatherings, collaboration, and quiet work. In addition, two accessible apartments are located on this level, designed for disabled residents and positioned with direct access to the garden, ensuring inclusive living conditions and a strong connection to outdoor space.
The project contains 28 student units in total. The uppermost five apartments are developed over two levels, creating more varied living spaces within the building’s compact volume while forming a distinctive top floor that completes the composition.
