Athens Hills
Athens Hills envisions 25,000 m² of new high-end residences within the metropolitan hub of Ellinikon.
The project proposes three 50-meter towers, conceived as a contemporary reinterpretation of the Athenian polykatoikia. Their crowns unfold into a cascading sequence of terraces with sea views, recalling the layered balconies that define Athens’ urban identity. Through their free placement and subtle dialogue, the three volumes evoke the image of the city’s planted hills rising from the Attic landscape.
The façades articulate a tectonic language of expressive cantilevers—some hosting deep soil beds for lush planting, others forming private pools that extend the living space outward. This dense vegetation provides shade and privacy while forging a conceptual link between the architecture of the emerging Riviera and the modernist legacy of Athens’ planted balconies.
The ensemble emerges from a richly landscaped Mediterranean garden of olive, cypress, and lemon trees, grounding the towers in a distinctly local landscape.
