How can we talk about sharing resources on our planet without falling into the usual “mocca-chocca” sustainability talk? For this art installation project we decided to talk metaphorically. If we can share our planet with a species so otherworldly as medusas ( aka. jellyfish) , an ancient species that has been thriving on our planet for 500 mil. years, then we can surely handle sharing it with each other.
We designed the medusas as massive floating balloons that can assume 2 positions . At high position, the medusas float and become beacons of the festival to the community. At the low position, they create a canopy ideal for pop up events, talks or simply lounging.
